Update: I'm going full-time on Growth Unhinged
In March 2021 I started writing a weekly newsletter, Growth Unhinged, where I’d unpack the unexpected playbooks behind the fastest-growing startups. The newsletter has turned into one of the most-trusted resources on the topic, reaching 78,000+ subscribers and 4 million annual views.
What you might not have realized: over the past 4.5 years, this newsletter has been a side project. It’s something I’ve squeezed in alongside a full-time job as a VC operating partner.
Well, that’s about to change. I’m now a full-time solopreneur!

A new vision for data-backed GTM advice
I’ve spent the past 15 years helping software startups turn great products into great businesses. And I can confidently say that the tried-and-true GTM playbooks are changing in real-time — and they’re changing across how we build, distribute and monetize software.
Yet there are few trusted sources of objective data or practical advice about what’s happening and how to apply it to your own company. Growth Unhinged is here to fill that gap.

Like a good millennial, I listen to a lot of podcasts. But I struggle to find business podcasts that are both insightful and entertaining. Too many are, frankly, run-of-the-mill interviews with a rotating cast of the same dozen guests repeating their talking points.
The Mostly Growth podcast is here to change that. It’s myself, CJ Gustafson (from Mostly Metrics), and producer Ben Hillman unpacking the most interesting happenings in tech and startups. The podcast combines candid takes, unconventional stories, and cringe-worthy business blunders.
