Very interesting. Could you share some details on the 30+ inbox and 10+ domains you mentioned please? I am quite old achool: 1 domain name and 1 inbox per person so I would greatly appreciate getting up to speed! (I assume it will include "domain name warming which is something I recently discovered). 😊👍 Thank you

Can we bring him into the thread? 😊👍

Hey Alex. Basically, domains have a score to them similar to a credit score. You don’t want to send from them to much, and you don’t want to land in spam or bounce emails too much. That makes your score worse, which makes your emails less deliverable.

The multiple domains and mailboxes per domain makes a scenario where all the domains have very good scores and the sending volume from each is very low. This makes your emails have a high deliverability.

Is there a product that can aggregate/manage so many domains? and has a dashboard to view their respective scores?

Pls give examples

When you talk about the “score” are you referring to postmaster.google.com? Or are you using something else to monitor your deliverability?

Can you give examples of the different inboxes you have under one domain?

Awesome stuff!

One thing I was missing was more details on step 6 in your visual - "Scraping inbound companies" via Clearbit? Could you elaborate on that please.

Looks like Clearbit is only available for Hubspot customers.

I would really like to know that too!

He's talking about an IP address's Sender Score. Look it up, but every IP address has a reputation that is downgraded anytime there's a 'negative or no' response from the recipient. Send 1000 emails in a day and no one opens them? Downgrade. Send 10 emails in a day and they all get marked as spam? Downgrade.

Another side of the issue is most ISP's offer what's known as dynamic IP service, meaning IP addy's rotate out every so often, and you can often inherit IPs that have been trashed by another org, with a low sender score. Meaning your emails are now landing in spam. Contrarily you can have static IP service, dedicating one singular address to you, but that comes with it's own set of problems as well.

I'll tell you, navigating the minefield upon which the inbox vs spam war is fought is absolutely nuts in 2024.

This is exactly what I need right now, so thank you for that. However, it feels like it’s just scratching the surface of how it all works. 😕 Any suggestions on where to go for a more thorough breakdown of the processes in place for each tool?
